It was such an awesome time in God’s presence for everyone who participated in today’s Sunday service May 16th 2021 at Christ embassy Calgary. Pastor Kobby shared the word of God with so much grace and the unction of the Holy Spirit was so tangible.
Scripture Reading: 2peter 1:4:11
God doesn’t need your help in making you what he has said about you. There is already something inside you that can make you what he’s said.
When he says add to your faith virtue he is talking about something that is inside you that you need to make available.
Moral Excellence
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
There is a way royalty lives.
The word of God sets the principles by which you live. The word of God gives you a standard for thinking. There are thoughts that shouldn’t cross your mind.
Your morals have become the morals of God.
You are your “highness” God’s majesty is in you.
You cannot disobey Jesus using his name.
Knowledge (Gnosis)
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
This is not Bible, this is general/ scientific knowledge. You have computers learn new things.
There is so much to learn.
A lot of people who made discoveries meditated a lot. God can teach you anything.
Col 2:3
Temperance
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
Patient endurance. Stop saying “Pastor you know I’m not patient” stop making such declarations. Let the response from you be the response of God. You’ve got to be a patient person.
Self control
“egkrateia”
holding yourself in. You don’t just say everything that comes to your mind.
Don’t just allow anything in and out of you. It’s not just about controlling what comes out of you but also what goes into you. Don’t respond to life based on your sense or feelings. If these things be in you, you won’t have to pray for anything.
If you would produce results you must work on your heart. If you would do the word of God your questions will reduce.
Godliness
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
Piety/ Reverence
One of the seven spirits of God as revealed to us by the scriptures is the spirit of the fear of the lord.
Have reverence for the things of God. If you don’t, he’ll leave you behind.
He leaves you where you are.
To have reverence means to live in the presence of God always.
Refrain from things that are to high for you. Don’t talk about men of God wrongly.
Brotherly kindness
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
It means going out of your way to do something good for someone. It’s required of you. Go out of your way to do good to people especially the people of God.
Treat people kindly.
Charity
Love for all men (Agape) Love all men, increase in your manifestation of the love of God inside you. If these things are lacking in you, you can’t see opportunities.
If you master these you would have mastered eternal life. This things have an innate great. Let the force of your personality destroy what it’s to destroy.
This has to be done intentionally.
